Reaching out a little before the beginning of the month because there is so much to talk about! 🙂
First, we have our Fall Member’s Meeting this Thursday, October 29, at 5:30 pm. We hope to see you all there.
If you are a Stockholding Member, make sure to vote through Survey Monkey for our new Board Members. If you can’t find your email invitation or need a paper ballot, please reach out to GM Jerry Giarla.
Second, we are officially reopening the interior of the Clubhouse for use by members. We will have our Covid-19 policies posted on the doors, and we are asking members to wear masks when inside the clubhouse when it is hard to socially distance.
We will be keeping the bar and the kitchen closed for the time being. If the club is locked after hours, please do not enter through the kitchen. We have moved the automated external defibrillator (AED) to the sail shed in case of an emergency.
Finally, we are planning on a Change of Watch on November 14 at 6 pm. We will be having awards, oysters, and food catered by Q on Bay. We will have a tent on-site to accommodate as many members as would like to attend and still be able to socially distance.
We will also have yellow wrist bands to wear that you can pick up at the front door, which will signal to others that you appreciate a little extra space. Some of us are more comfortable than others with being around people from outside our household, and we want to make sure everyone’s wishes are understood and respected.
To attend Change of Watch, you must register ahead of time, so be on the lookout for an email from the club to sign up.
We appreciate everyone’s support and understanding as we begin to attempt a few more social engagements. If you have any thoughts, questions, or concerns, as always, please do not hesitate to reach out to Jerry or me.
