At the November meeting of the ‘Ladies Who (Don’t) Lounge’ group, members got first-hand knowledge from the all women’s sailing team that won the race to Alaska from Seattle, Washington in 2018.
Known as “Sail Like a Girl,” the nonprofit group aims to inspire women to push limits, challenge assumptions, and, through teamwork, make the impossible possible. “We envision a world where women are not limited by conventions and stereotypes,” the group notes.
Skipper Jeanne Assael Goussev, shown above, led the conversation.
Activities Director Danielle Feerst said the virtual presentation and Q&A were engaging and informative — and suggests anyone who missed it to view it at their convenience here.
