Frostbite Series

***Racing is canceled for 3/4 ***

We are fortunate enough to live somewhere that we can sail year-round. The Frostbite Series is all about getting out on the water on the pleasant days that we are offered in January, February, and March. The Frostbite Series is a way for participants to get out and practice in a racing setting, but with a more informal approach. On days when the weather meets the “pleasant” formula, a scaled down race committee will get the races rolling and will report results for bragging purposes at the conclusion.

Because we want everyone to come out and take advantage of the days that they can make it, we are making the entry fee extremely low – $10/adult skipper and free for junior skippers.

We encourage everyone to come out when they are ready and able to be out on the water, even if that’s toward the end of the series! Online registration can be completed anytime. Bring your check for payment when you come to the club to sail.

When: Sundays, First Horn @ 1pm – Consecutive Sundays from Jan 28 to March 11

Note: Racing only takes place on nice weather days. Racing doesn’t happen if it’s raining or if the weather isn’t cooperating. There is a formula that takes into account the air temperature, water temperature, and wind speed to determine if it’s an acceptable weather day.

Who: Dinghy Sailors – Included classes: MC, Laser, Sunfish, 420, Opti, Bic, Evo, JY15

How:Register Below or Online Here!

All sailors, including skippers and crew must be registered. Please complete the registration online and bring your check to the club for payment. If you sail more than one type of boat as the weather conditions change, please fill out a separate registration form for each boat. Only one fee will apply. All skippers are expected to check in with the race committee when they head out on the water each day so the race committee knows who they have on the race course.
Our racing is dependent on our fabulous volunteers! We are looking for PROs to sign up and start assembling their team of race volunteers!
