This will be my last report on our 2018 Racing Season, which is over until next spring.  We had a very busy schedule this year with 7 Club Series, 12 Regattas and 8 Sailing Oriented Meetings.  Over 350 sailors participated in races and 100 persons attended the meetings.  We could not have accomplished this without an extraordinary effort by our Racing Volunteers-both those in charge of events and those helping along the way.  THANK YOU!

Look for an exciting 2019 Sailing Season under the leadership of Gordon Sproul as Racing Committee Chairman in charge of the entire program and Andy Kinghorn as Fleet Captain in charge of the dinghy racing series. We have some big events already planned.

The last item for 2018:  special thanks to those individuals that took the official responsibility for organizing a major event, a meeting or providing a significant service. This is the major key to a successful program-when we have large number of members (30 this year) participating and taking ownership.  Sorry if I missed anyone.

And, a final Thank You to the many racing volunteers that spent so much time on the water to make this effort a success.   The efforts of our teams in yellow shirts are well known and respected within the Southeast clubs.

As we enter 2019 if you are interested in spending a fun day on the water just contact the leaders of the program.  No experience necessary-you will get training.  We mostly need safety boat people and recorders.
