It is the time of year in which we find our waterways a little less appealing than usual, and that means we have more time to focus on getting the Club in shape and prepare for the warmer months.
You likely have noticed the new siding going up on the Clubhouse, and you will soon get your invitation to the painting party. Gary Noble has been working to get the playground back into shape, and we have a certified playground contractor scheduled to start on the improvements in the next several weeks. He and Jerry are also working with our landscaper to have our bushes trimmed and beds weeded with regularity. Simon Jenkins has promised to whip the grass in the “oyster area” into shape – no pressure, Simon.
David Dixon has also been working feverishly alongside our staff to optimize the boat yard for use, revenue, and aesthetics. And of course, Marilyn Marino and her active Social Committee continue to keep the Club festive and fun with event after event.
